Chess is a phenomenal obedience dog and very strong, consistent and confident in her outstanding, pronounced protection routine. Chess is an ideal young female for a strong working breeding program and we look forward to seeing her pass her own strengths on to more of her progeny in the future. Chess is a remarkable dog in all phases of the work, with superfast retrieves, always showing full and hard grips, with incredible trainability and outstanding drives. Chess has wonderful, compact conformation, extreme speed and agility and she shows a very positive attitude and extremely high spirit and temper. Chess is a daughter of one of our top breeding females, Finess von den Wannaer Höhen and is sired by a top Dutch Schutzhund dog and Police K9, Fado von der Lutter. Fado is half brother to the WUSV Schutzhund Champion and German National Schutzhund champion, Asko von der Lutter. It is no surprise that w henever Chess is on the field working, everyone takes notice of this spirited, drivey and flashy female. Chess has already produced a wonderful litter for us and we are expecting a super Summer 2009 litter from Chess and Arik vom Alyeska or another outstanding stud dog from outside our breeding program. Denali is a large, powerful and beautiful young bitch with wonderful vigilance, extreme awareness and high fight drive. Denali shows incredible intensity in protection, and in obedience she works simply to please the handler....no toys or other props are needed. Despite her impressive bone and size, Denali has outstanding conformation and is amazingly fast and agile. She has very high active aggression and will take the fight to the man. A naturally protective dog, Denali possesses an amazing, hard and full natural bite, very pronounced courage and intense loyalty to her handler. Despite all of this, Denali is not a hard dog. She is very responsive to her handler's moods and wishes and is always eager to work and to please. Denali exemplifies all of the best traits of her outstanding pedigree. Denali's mother, Xinet vom Getevallei, was a highly respected breeding bitch, noted for her incredible toughness. Her pups were sought after in her home country of Belgium and abroad, and for the past 4 years Xinet has been an equally spectacular producer for us at Alyeska. Denali's father is the very well-known, top performing Belgian schutzhund dog Xiggo vom Haus Sevens.

We anticipated that Denali would form the vanguard, along with her siter Draga, of our future breeding program here at Alyeska. In this we feel that Denali has surpassed even our own high expectations.  Denali appears to have passed on her superb qualities to her first two litters, both sired by our stud male, Volan von der Daelenberghütte. These litters produced some of the finest pups we have bred here at Alyeska. They possess incredible drives and superb temperaments; in short, all of the things one looks for in a fine working-prospect pup. However, what is most notable about these Denali/Volan pups is the almost eerie intelligence, handler-intuition and trainability they all show, with this trait clearly evident as young as 8 weeks. Denali also passess on magificent pigmentation and truly remarkable structure, with some of her pups going on to win in the conformation ring! We look forward to a Summer 2009 litter from Denali and one of our stud dogs here at Alyeska.

Draga, a.k.a. "Dragon," is a large, powerful and extremely intense young bitch with incredible and often intimidating (to those just meeting her) presence. Dragon is currently a personal protection dog, and in this she excels. She is a female with superb nerve strength, is accepting towards welcome visitors, yet she is ever-vigilant and she knows her job and gives it utmost devotion. Dragon shows incredible intensity, highly developed protectiveness, and in obedience she is a natural. In addition to her impressive bone and size, Dragon has very nice working conformation and is amazingly fast and agile. She has very high active aggression and fight drive. Draga has had three litters to date, one by our stud Volan von der Daelenberghütte and two by our stud Cohen vom Adler Stein. We were pleased by her first litter, pups showing boldness and extreme intelligence. We were just as impressed by the Draga and Cohen litters. These pups have structure, pigment, bone, and the phenomenal drives posessed by Cohen, which seems to have mixed exceptionally well, due to Cohen's prepotence, with the seriousness, handler-responsiveness and intensity of Draga. These pups have a pedigree rare in today's working dogs, being Fero, Lord and Mink-free and yet going back heavily on the Lierbergs ( Bodo, Bernd, Dix and Gin) and other top working dogs in the 6th and 7th generation, dogs one rarely sees in even well-bred working pedigrees closer than the 10th to 15th generation. We really look forward to seeing how these promising pups turn out on the Schutzhund field and in SAR. We expect great things.  We expect a 2009 litter from Draga and one of our stud dogs here at Alyeska.
